any mathematical experts know how many ounces of 2 cycle oil for 15 ounces of gas, my Ninja ath skills come up with .30 ounces(a little more than 1/2 tablespoon?) of oil for 15 ounces of gas. i only need to fill my weed whacker tank dont need a gallon. :geek:

If it helps you you can make an intermediate pre-mix.

Get those 3.2 oz little bottles of oil and make a quart of 10:1.

Fill the now-empty little bottle and mix it with your 15 oz of gas. Presto, a 47:1 mix. Also you don't have to account for a film of oil sticking to the measuring device and throwing off the mix dramatically.

Take the leftover 10:1 if you don't need it and just dump it in your car's tank.

Simple stuff, write it down:
Amount of fuel divided by mix ratio = amount of oil to add. eg: 15 ounces of fuel divided by 50 (mix ratio of 50:1) = .3 ounces of oil.
Amount of oil multiplied by mix ratio = amount of fuel to add. eg: you have 3 ounces of oil and want to mix a 50:1 ratio so you'd multiply 3 x 50 = 150 ounces of fuel. The most common mix ratio is: 2.56 ounces of oil x 50 (50:1)= 128 ounces of fuel (1 gallon).

I stopped making exact mixtures a long time ago. I have 3 2-stroke engines, one takes 50:1, another takes 40:1, and the last takes 25:1. I just blend one 5 gallon jug of 40:1 and use it in all of them. No issues so far.

The answer is $8

Same here...ish. I'm probably up around 32:1 or so with mine. Never bothered to figure it out. I'm always on the heavy side of what the power head calls for (50:1 I'm pretty sure.) It's GA, its hot, and I use the same power head for edging and running a blower, so the poor little 2 stroke is WFO a LOT. I'd rather have some extra oil in there when I'm beating on it.
