4l80e torque converter

Can I swap a 0990 torque converter for an 0827 torque converter? If so, will there be any difference in the way my vehicle drives? I'm putting a used 4l80e in my 3/4 ton suburban that has the 454 in it while I rebuild my bad 4l80e, I'm not certain if the two converters are a direct swap since my burb is a 99 and the used trans came out of an 04 Silverado. Please help, really want to get this over and done with tonight. My driveway is so steep I've been working on this out in the road and the cops keep giving me a ticket every couple days. Lol. It's really not funny though

Oh, and I'm not certain if the 990 from the bad trans is good or not, any way to tell? I didn't want to take any chances with this being as it's such a pain in the rear already. Thanks

4L80E Converters do not vary that much in stall speed to be a world ending problem, A 7.4L probably has a Low Stall from the factory (Around 1600-1800), A Factory High Stall doesn't go above 2200.

24210827/0827....1999-up 5.7L, 6.5L, 7.4L low stall, single element stator.

I don't have any listing for a 0990 converter, If the converter is from a AM General Hummer or Isuzu NPR...That would be the reason.

Check the Pump Drive Hub Height, & the Fin Angles.

Pilot Hub wear is very common on stock 4L80E converters....Causing broken flexplates & pump bushing wear.

It's a factory number. I found it even. It doesn't have a zero in front of it, it's actually just 990 but everything I came across said it was a four digit code so I assumed putting a zero in front was correct. Website that I can think of where I found it was cobra transmissions. Thank you for the advice, I'll just leave the 0827 in the trans I'm installing unless you think it better to put the 990 in instead
