4k on first run of M1 0w40+Rislone

This is a 4k run on an '09 Vue 3.6l that a friend just purchased. Has 134k on it. This was M1 0w40 + a bottle of Rislone. Some serious carbon in this guy. Seems like a good cleaning combo.

Wow that’s a lot of cleaning. I wonder what’s cleaning the most, the Rislone or M10w40?

I am not understanding the level of grit and the rough overall color and appearance of that oil. I would be looking to clean that engine. I would do so with the Liqui moly flush, then the rinse with fresh, cheap oil. And I would be going back to the manufacturers recommended oil weight. I look at these pictures and see trouble.

Be interesting to see what under valve cover pics with this one would look like. Don't know how oil fill hole is with 3.6L but might be revealing too. Filter c&p pics can be indicative of what's going on there.

Which Rislone product? They make more than a dozen different oil and fuel additives.

I'm be curious about the Rislone ZDDP oil additive. Others, not so much.

It was the standard engine treatment. Formally High Mileage formula.

Cool beans. Fwiw, I would have considered a Vue purchase with the Honda engine. Because they were unique that respect, I remember them at the time.
