my Saturn Relay has the 4T65 transmission, comes with Dex VI. coming up on 45k miles, the fluid is still the same color, transmission shifts just fine. I'm just getting the itch to do a pan & fluid swap drop.
Also getting the urge to drop a bottle of Lubegard Red in as well.
I'd be putting Dex VI back in of course, I'm itching also towards using the Redline D6, I won't be doing a full flush, there isn't a lot of room to maneuver without a rack... should I let it go till 60k???

Sounds like a great plan, it will help extend the life of your transmission. Just resist the urge to use the "Lubegard Red".

Since it would only be a pan drop and not a full flush, I can't think of a reason not to go ahead and do that.

Also, Redline makes some really great fluids, might even improve shifts.

LG red i don't think will be necessary with D6, if it was DexIII then I would say go wild with it, but you said yourself it already shifts just fine.

Well if i am not mistaken gm rates the life of dex6 a 50k for sever and 100k for regular. So at 45k you still haven't even reached the sever service recommended interval let alone half the regular interval. So if it where me and I didn't fit into the sever category I would go to 60k as that is still only 60% of the manufacture ratted life of dex6.

Then again if your bored, enjoy doing it, and get a satisfied feeling out of knowing your taking care of your car, well then go for it. Its not like its going to hurt anything.
