That's the whole point.
If he bought 2 brand new Honda Accords, he would never have anything interesting to write about, because nothing interesting ever happens to a Honda Accord.
So, instead, he pays good money for the most potentially unreliable vehicle he can find, or one of his readers can locate for him, and if he's really lucky, he buys a high quality warranty also, and then has a new article to write about every other week on Jalopnik.
Then, in a year, he sells the car, and buys something new to write about for the next year. He also writes off the cost of the vehicle for his taxes, since the vehicle was purchased for his job, which helps decrease the amount of money he may potentially lose from owning a car like this for a year.
Bah, don't know why I'm bothering.
The vast bulk of members here can't even get past the concept of why anyone would buy anything that wasn't a Subaru Forester/Ford Crown Vic/Honda Accord, so this type of article series just hurts your brains.
There are a few members that understand the entertainment value of Doug DeMuro's car purchases, however.
Have fun.
BC.
Nah don't waste your time, this is the wrong demographic here.
