What is wrong with the Bradford White? My Bradford White is 10 years old. I’m looking to replace it soon. Which gas 40 gallon should I go with?
If you are installing it yourself instead of calling a plumber, do yourself a favor and get another Bradford White water heater with the exact same dimensions and inlet/outlet configuration. If you choose a different brand, make sure the configuration is very close to what you currently have installed. Otherwise, you may need to do a fair amount of soldering and reconfiguration of the supply and outlet lines to make it fit. Also, there can be possible vent stack alignment issues (gas heater) or insufficient length of the power cable (electric). My Bradford White is 10 years old. I’m looking to replace it soon. I would love to get another Bradford white for the exact reasonIf you are installing it yourself instead of calling a plumber, do yourself a favor and get another Bradford White water heater with the exact same dimensions and inlet/outlet configuration. If it is working fine, don't change it now. Treat it like a light bulb...no need to change it until it shows signs of impending failure.Absolutely nothing but I’m guessing it’s at the end of its life.
I hear ya, but it always seems to happen at the worst times. It’ll never happen on a Saturday morning when I have plenty of time to buy one and install itIf it is working fine, don't change it now. Treat it like a light bulb...no need to change it until it shows signs of impending failure.
I recommend Rheem or AO Smith. Bradford White has been the most problematic for my customers and harder to deal with warranty items.
Nope...they are probably available through your local plumbing supply warehouse such as Ferguson. You can also buy online with free shipping, but perhaps at a higher cost.I would love to get another Bradford white for the exact reason
but don’t you have to be a plumber to buy one and have it professionally installed?
I wouldn't assume so. Bradford puts a very large sacrificial anode in their water heaters. I pulled mine at 10 years old and 90% of the anode was still intact. No end in site yet for this water heater.Absolutely nothing but I’m guessing it’s at the end of its life.
My lightbulbs usually just blow, without warning. If it is working fine, don't change it now. Treat it like a light bulb...no need to change it until it shows signs of impending failure.
i agree. they have had a few years of bad production. I had one where the nipple was crossthreaded......that being said bradford white make just as good as any others.I recommend Rheem or AO Smith. Bradford White has been the most problematic for my customers and harder to deal with warranty items.
neither would Iwouldn't assume so
