Another Kirkland roll changed out in the Frantz. Love how the roll is compressed after running as an oil filter.:) Insert is 304 stainless I turned on my lathe to fit the new rolls.

you can only do 3K miles between TP rolls.. what about the frantz synthetic rolls stuff they sell,, how long they go??
No, you can run them until blocked, but I find 3000K to be the right intervals. This keeps the detergents up and the oil clean so it never has to be changed. It all depends on how clean the engine runs.:)

Why not use the Frantz filters? They are fairly inexpensive and designed for filtering.
I haven't checked the Frantz filters in over ten years, but they used to use toilet paper rolls for the non synthetic filters. They just wrapped them in a nylon net.:) You can't get any better filtering than a toilet paper roll.:)
