Congrats on the milestone! Did you notice any of the oils running quieter in the engine? Any favorite oils that were used when taking price out of the equation?
How far apart were the atf drain/refills spaced roughly?
Good question man... I have observed that Havoline Pro DS and Havoline DS, Havoline high mileage, Mobil Super, Cam2 SuperproMax, Cam2 Dexos1 Gen 2 full synthetic and Pennzoil Ultra have ran the most quiet in the VQ motor I have...
I am very impressed with the Cam2 SuperproMax and the full synthetic Cam2... The Cam2 SuperproMax is actually ACEA A5 B5 approved too.... Which is a tough spec to hit and a far amount tougher than API SN plus... I can get the Cam2 SuperproMax for $2.99 a qt at the country store in Charles City county west of me... And Napa in Smithfield sells it for $1.99 a qt per 12 qt case.
Earlier in my cars life it was 5k to 6k mile runs... Since about 225k miles I have cut it back to 3k mile runs... Kind of babying it a bit now. The CVT fluid change was very, very helpful... And helped quiet the car down running at low speed high load situations...
