With Festiva's you need the dual stage thermostat to get up to proper temps in cold temps. Can't recall how it affects fuel economy. Is dual stage thermostats even a thing with new cars?

I can't imagine a 3 cylinder engine in a car being very good for anything, especially in the cold when efficiency is expected to drop. The engine is under powered to begin with.
