3,000-mile results

I've posted the 3,000-mile results to the site. I dunno where they would go here anymore, so I'll just stick this notice up.

Anyway, it looks like Amsoil can make it to 3,000 miles at least.

Wear metals look good but I'm really concerned with the TBN. 4.3 is too low for only 3k miles. This oil might not make it to 6K miles at this rate. Wear is almost identical to Mobil 1.

Is the tbn on the amsoil sample under the old or new standard? It seems that the tbn of the mobil1 was higher when you were sampling it.

Clue us in.

With all due respect, I don't think Blackstone has a clue when it comes to testing the TBN of used engine oils....
I'm basing this on ten years of oil analysis testing under widely varying conditions ....Of course this is their new testing method, but it still looks random to me.

Their wear metal and viscosity testing protocols seem fine, but I don't understand how total solids can drop after the 2000 mile sample was taken???
