So during a 22k mile "OCI", you really replaced more than NINE QUARTS of oil (assuming halfway between 2000 and 3000 miles/filter change as you stated).
OK, its a nice oil analysis and I am impressed, but that's so much make-up oil that you effectively changed the oil twice during the 22000 interval, making it more like a 10000 mile OCI would have been with zero make-up oil.

Heck, you could go on doing this indefinitely. There's no point in 'changing' the oil in the traditional sense.
Is this guy still around? I'd like to know his long term results.
The capacity of my crankcase is 5 quarts + 1 for the filter...in essence I am changing 1/6th of the oil every 2-3000 mile ...costs about 90 cents for the filter and 5.00 for the oil ....not too bad.

You know, re-reading it maybe you're right. Maybe it's just worded that it's 5 quarts total, because of the +1 for the filter.

15q of Mobil 1 and eight filters to go 25K? That's an easy hundred bucks. Five conventional oil change specials is about $60.

Scan and post the Blackstone report. This is the only way to prove your point along with a couple of pictures of the oil bypass set-up.

That's eight rolls of toilet paper, not eight purchased filters. Big difference in price.

Please explain why you think it's b.s. I'm also using a bypass filter system and with 30,000 mile OCI's, my used oil analysis are similar.

Have read a lot of testimonials on by pass filters on 18 wheelers and it saves them a lot of money. I use m1 and pull it out every 10k on my 2002 dodge 318 v8 van. I ran it 15, ooo once and lost half a qt. I dont have any oil usuage at the 10k oci. 5qt jug at Walmart, 29 bucks and 8 bucks for the extended mileage filter,cheap to me....
