That - IMO V-Twin in the motor, Racing 4T in the primary and Redline Shockproof in the trans is the magic combination. but it is not the budget combo for sure.

One needs to wonder why oil cost would a consideration. 99.9% of people with motorcycles . boats etc have them as a luxury . Most people do not need a boat or a motorcycle as they are a passion. My dad would say if you have to think about the cost of your toy, you can't afford it. Yes no one usually wants to spend more that needed though.

I pretty much used 15 w 50 and/or 15w40HDEO in my Harley for most of its life.. I dont think I every put 20w50 in it and I never did any oil samples either.. .. didn't seem to hurt it

Wow! 200k says a lot about the of durability of that bike or the dedication of the guy wrenching on it... Maybe both.

I'd say it definitely qualifies you for the iron butt award, too.

20W-50 HDEOs are not common, i believe Shell does make one that they sell in Asia called Rimula R3.
