2027 Chevrolet Bolt - Revealed

I get what you’re saying, but you come from a different world.
On the flipside, maybe someday Tesla will be able to deliver the fantastic experience of getting the vechicle serviced locally instead of hours of drive time away
Many states have between 1 and 7 Tesla dealerships in the entire state.
General Motors has between one and seven in every county in the country

Funny you mention that, as I’ve been seeing a lot of these posts on Twitter lately. Very common for 1+ month waits for Tesla service. Not everywhere and always, but pretty normal. Same with Rivian.

Yep, Tesla is a small company by deliveries; they are the snotty nosed kid down the block.
I have 3 stores (2 are service centers) within a few miles of me: Sunnyvale, Santana Row and the new Los Gatos store.

Interestingy, the only time I needed service, the tech came to my house. I went to a service center only once; to buy the Wall Charger. I wonder if other areas have mobile techs? My understanding is yes; Tesla's model was to streamline maintenance and reduce the need for in-person service center visits. I certainly see how this could be a problem for an owner, depending.

I've used mobile service before. They rotated the tires and replaced the cabin filter in my driveway. I was able to get an appointment sooner with mobile than I could going to the service center. Considering the closest service center is a 30 minute drive, I think I'd rather use mobile service when it's available for the work I need done.

From my understanding if you have an urgent issue Tesla service can get to you fairly quick. My minor issue with a failed cabin radar that was not important and didn’t cause any major issues was the next appointment was a couple weeks out.

Right. Through the app or in person the best you can do with scheduling is where they can fit you in. Something emergency related becomes priority. Was the same with VW when I dealt with them. It was usually a 3 week wait for an appointment.

New Bolt just got an official EPA estimate of 262 miles, up from the GM estimated 255 miles 👍

Rumors are they’re headed to dealers very soon.

Same with VW. It's pretty common with most dealers from what I'm seeing.

Starting to show up on the Chevrolet.com inventory page! In transit.

Too expensive to be a big hit. A lot of options in the mid 30s where most of these will be over optioned at

For the same price you can get an Equinox EV...

Still excited about the new Bolt. Many current Bolt owners that want the same vehicle just with faster charging, and the LFP battery that can be charged to 100% at any time will be a plus. But after the first couple months, I think they'll have decent discounts as well that will bring the price quite a bit below that of the Equinox EV.

Or used EVs. I think this needs to be in the low 20s, I agree.
I mean a new Corolla is like $27K+ and the new Bolt is basically the same price. And within 3 months I suspect they'll be working deals on the Bolt while Toyota dealers seem to think their stuff is made of unobtanium and are hard to get discounts on.

I think the Corolla is a larger car but I guess does not matter apples to pears comparison.
BTW new base Corolla starts at $23,500 and well reviewed. There really are a large selection of cars in the 25k range. The price of the Bolt brings it close to a base Equinox EV

A dealer near me has at least half a dozen 2026 25k Corollas on their lot plus more for another 1k and more.

I looked at multiple nearby dealers and the cheapest Corolla I found in stock was $27,000.

Lord have mercy. When the men of this world get excited over a bean with an electric motor it's obvious that .... 1. Men have become wusses... 2. Henry Ford and Carroll Shelby are mad as haell... 3. In 5000 years when and if people discover the nuclear waste and the skeletal remains of 5 yr olds in cobalt mines they will ask "What were they thinking?".

'27 BOLT is being shutdown sometime this year . A shame , good looking vehicle .
It was priced to take advantage of the credit. With that incentive gone, the potential market has likely shrunk substantially. Also, many nicer, off lease EV models are available for the same price or less. I'm in a Niro EV rental right now. They sell for less than 20k. Similar range as the Bolt, but 10k less.
