Here we are with the NHL playoffs. Started with 16 teams, and now down to 8. Tampa Bay got eliminated by Montreal Sunday night. Here are two screen shots showing the remaining teams. All series are best of 7. Mods, the screen shots were the simplest way of showing who’s still in.

I like hockey and all, but it's been pretty unwatchable for me this year. Cheap shots and dirty play are completely acceptable this year. They could suspend at least one player every game I've watched, but they just let them play (or whatever you want to call it). So I'll probably not watch much more.

Hurricanes are on a different level. Everyone else looks little league in comparison.

I was hoping for the underdog Ottawa Senators.

Of the remaining eight, it would've nice to see the Sabres win. They've been to the finals twice, but have never won.

I'd also be OK with the Wild winning.

Arg, it's hard for me to pick a team now. It's hard for me to root for the Habs after them consistently beating my teams back in the day - and it's hard to support Vegas given that their goaltender was part of the 2018 Hockey Canada assault.

I guess Carolina or Colorado by default.

What a shame. They were all acquitted, so you don't believe in the judicial system?

I thought the acquittal was sort of lukewarm - my impression was that the judge thought the players had done something awful, but that the evidence was not there to convict them.

But I also believe in 2nd chances. If the players are truly remorseful and have apologized to the victim, then that's different.

I don't know all the facts.

Nothing against Vegas otherwise - I was rooting for them in 2018 against the Caps.

When it comes to hockey, i don’t ever root for a team if its city doesn’t have a fleet of snow plows.
