Towed 300 miles at 75 mph. No problems., All temps on my scan Guage were normal. Plenty of power and still averaged 27 MPH. I am impressed.

The ecvt isn't the issue. The only factor is the motors that drives the mg 1 and 2 will be loaded more and produce more heat and consume more power. That tow rating is probably a carry over from the pulley cvt which would slip of loaded too much. There will be zero slip with the ecvt though just elevated heat and power but I'm sure it'll be fine.
mg 1 and 2 temps normal
