Is it missing two doors?
Nope, apparently they are going to make it in both 2 and 4 door versionsIs it missing two doors?
I think this was the point. It's to bridge the gap to new EV buyers which is why I think EV enthusiasts have had negative reviews. I'm curious to see how it drives when I get the chance. No doubt about it though, they nailed the styling. I love how it looks. They were great, it drives like a gas car, so it creeps when you let off the brakes, and the brakes feel like SRT brakes. I would assume you could adjust this so that it drives like a Tesla (1-pedal driving) but as shipped, it feels very familiar; feels like a gas car.
I want to say that front trunk is about the same size as mine, but the front hood space has to be 2-3 times longer than my car. That must be the stash box in the front.![]()
I like the first one, hate the second.or some actual effort in your industrial design skills.

Didn't they just release and slowly start trickling in? If they allowed preorders that's not great.I just read that only 75 have sold this year. Not a good sign for what seems to be their halo ev.
I believe I read it here...Didn't they just release and slowly start trickling in? If they allowed preorders that's not great.
That's the previous model, not the redesign EV. At least that's what it shows when you click on the vehicle name.
Does that make the 2 door version a Challenger?Nope, apparently they are going to make it in both 2 and 4 door versions![]()
It says "High performance brakes" do they say what they are or who the manufacturer is? The $18 "Tire tax" is odd is that a Canadian thing? What is the $100 A/C excise tax? Just curious.Well well well, look what showed up:

My dealer ordered two of them, this one showed up first, my buddy has a red one coming for himself (he made the cut-off for the $5K Federal rebate) which should be here by the end of the month.
The sticker on these is a bit wild:

Made here in Ontario, so you do get an $8,500 provincial rebate.
First impressions:
- While the "engine sounds" speaker thing seems really gimmicky, I have to say, it's extremely well executed. It does actually sound like a gas Hellcat when you put it in "Track" mode. It has a number of different sound profiles, depending on the drive mode and of course you can turn it off completely if you desire.
- The interior is nice, though I'm not a fan of the lack of door handles (they pulled a Tesla). Has some major BMW and Mercedes vibes going on with the interior lighting and screen layout. Seats are comfortable, well bolstered, but not as nice as my SRT seats.
- The controls are well laid out; where you'd expect them to be in a Charger. I didn't know what I'd think of the squared-off wheel, but it's actually quite nice to use. The UConnect system is responsive and familiar for anybody who has driven an FCA/Stellantis product before. The gear selector feels right out of your typical gas car, so again, nothing weird there.
- The trunk is pretty small, as is the frunk. Which, I guess you kind of expect for this style of car, but does mean that it's probably not a practical alternative to say a Model 3. I found you really had to close the hood, which took a bit more effort than I expected.
- It drives well. I took it for a 10km or so drive and it doesn't feel as portly as it is. Power delivery is typical EV, drives a LOT like the BMW i4 M50, but without the torque steer that I experienced in that car, so that's a plus. Steering turn-in is FAST and takes some getting used to. Acceleration is of course blistering with 670HP on tap.
The SM is considering getting one as his commute is 1,500km/week, so he'd save almost $8,000 annually on gas just on his drive to work and back. A compelling case.
It is just amazing what they can do now a days when someone really wants to. Absolutley love that body style and the white paint always seems to make so many cars look great. They were great, it drives like a gas car, so it creeps when you let off the brakes, and the brakes feel like SRT brakes. I would assume you could adjust this so that it drives like a Tesla (1-pedal driving) but as shipped, it feels very familiar; feels like a gas car.
That is certainly a new one.It says "High performance brakes" do they say what they are or who the manufacturer is? The $18 "Tire tax" is odd is that a Canadian thing? What is the $100 A/C excise tax? Just curious.
That's what I thought at first but there are more than that number of petrol chargers, surely. That's the previous model, not the redesign EV. At least that's what it shows when you click on the vehicle name.
I can't imagine they've built and delivered 2900 cars and can estimate this as a 1,700+ day supply with those numbers. Not to mention that's one of the largest supplies on hand with the numbers on that page. I just now started seeing ads this week from Dodge dealers saying they have cars available. That's what I thought at first but there are more than that number of petrol chargers, surely.

Yes, these are the first two to show up, they just started shipping.Didn't they just release and slowly start trickling in? If they allowed preorders that's not great.
