A little late for introductions but here it is. Picked up a 2024 Subaru WRX TR back in February as they were trying to get all the '24 model years out the lot to make room for '25s. After shopping around different dealerships that were willing to work with me I finally found the car in the color and trim I wanted with a steep $5k+ MSRP discount.

Put a little over 2k+ miles since and just adding on accessories I skipped out on at the dealership to avoid overpaying for parts and labor. Llumar Platinum PPF the front as I plan on tracking the car and ceramic to keep it clean and smooth. 50%/35% Llumar Pinnacle tints to keep out those pesky UV rays.

REALLY want to tune the car but I'm going to just try my best at being and adult to keep the warranty. And to be honest, it's still a lot for me to handle on the track as its not as flat/low as I am used to so the extra power can wait. It's just not as fun on straight highways and would like that 300+AWHP.

Those wheels are slick! Nice ride & hope you enjoy it. What is the power output of your version & the curb weight of the car?

Thanks. I'm enjoying the car as much as I can while trying to play nice with my warranty. I did not engine mods so its just stock power and its something like 34xx lbs. You'd prob fine the specs through Google.

It's a fun car to push around for sure and surprisingly easy to drive. The ADAS is kind of intrusive at times if you're trying to zoom around but it's easy to turn off as long as you're stopped.

Edit: Just wanted to add, I want to slowly try and transform this into the S210 as they won't be bringing it here. I started working on making it look like the JDM STI Sport R and then the S210 was announced and now want to find the parts accompanying that. I'll fly my ass to Japan again if I have to!

Wife walking behind me likes the orange being 1/2 Dutch.
Now what's with the cladding, is this like a Paris-Dakar rally trim?
Is this the new 2.4L w/ turbo? I see the 0W30 M1 R oil amendment, something I would do. Is that working well?

Nope. Subaru just decided to throw cladding at anything that they thought would go off-road or at least give the image of it. Honestly, it just grew on me and I plan on painting it piano black to match all the STi underbody parts.

As far as the oil goes, we'll see. I still haven't hit my mileage target so it's just churning around in the engine until then. I honestly can't see putting 0W20 in this car no matter how many people tell me to watch a youtube clip telling me I'm dumb. I throw my vehicle around on the track occasionally so I want that extra protection as I've seen this oil hit 230-240 degrees. I picked up Subaru (Idemitsu) 5W30 at the dealer (It was on sale for $20/5Q) for the next change and will call it a day.

Cladding which ironically wasn't present back in the heyday of their rally racing program. I guess what works on the Crosstrek is going to have to go on everything else too.

Wife currently has a dealer loaner Crosstrek Wilderness, Cladding insanity taken to the max. Absolutely silly. Her regular crosstrek premium 6-speed looks fine.

That Orange REX ain't going off road - maybe off a road course in a pucker-whoops! Wheels are too large of a diameter, slows down the car. They Look good though - so good enough. What tires came on the thing?

The car was never meant to really go off-road unless you decided to get a base/premium trim and just lift it. Plenty of people do it and do offroad with the WRX. The TR trim was really made for track use. Stiffer chassis, stiffer springs, Brembos, etc. but it's not like they're going to take the cladding off for that. Either way, it grew on me so it doesn't occupy my brain anymore. As I stated earlier, I'm probably going to paint them piano black. The two-tone of the car just grew on me once I saw the piano black on all the STi "Under spoiler" parts.

The TR trim comes with Potenza S007s. I actually have a separate set of STi wheels and went down in size to 18s for a bit more comfort and sidewall stiffness.

Nice WRX. I’m not too crazy about all the terrible plastic on rear bumper.

I got a 2025 BRZ and enjoy rowing the gears, I hit 132 on empty country road.
Very smooth ride at that speed and low center of gravity.
