Filter off a 2024 Mazda CX 90 SUV. Had 6k on factory filter and factory fill.

Replaced with Safety Kleen Synthetic 0w20 DEXOS 1 GEN 3 and another Mazda filter. Looks solid.

Really?

School me on why that wouldn’t be necessary.
I'll assume there's an ADBV on the engine? There are vehicles out there that don't require ADBV on the filter b/c there's already a permanent one in the oil filter housing. That or the mounting position, from reading, really doesn't do much if it did have one.

Justin: dkryan knows why. Hence why I didn’t bite and just said “no idea”.

We all know some vehicles have bypass in block and some don’t.

Still waiting for answer to what the aftermarket filter # for this is

New CX 90, well excuse me. 😃 Nice. FF filter looks good. Mazda doesn't use an adbv on many of their OE filters. Primarily I think because they consider it unnecessary with filter orientation, vertical thread end/base up I'd assume. At least that's orientation of other Mazdas with no adbv on OE/OEM filter.

Thanks for c&p.
