2023? Ranger and Ranger Raptor

The Raptor is going to be a little beastie. Way too rich for my blood though. My truck is plenty quick with 270hp, can't imagine it with over 400.

I even originally thought of the F150 Raptor as kind of a 'who needs that thing', but the Ranger Raptor has me thinking 'I'd really like one of those', but then I'd be one of those people that never takes it offroad and just drives it on the street, sooooo.

A Mall Crawl Lil' Raptor.
I'm kind of wondering about this. Fullsize truck buyers usually shun smaller trucks, so I'm wondering who the buyers are going to end up being. I personally love the size of the Ranger, since it was all the truck I needed to buy.

If you were into hardcore offroading, I think it would be the better choice, being smaller and all. Who knows.

I hope the Tremor makes a reappearance. Even though they haven't announced R-Raptor tow ratings, Raptors typically suffer on towing and payload, thats where the tremors usually bridge the gap between FX4 and Raptor.

Seems like the R-Raptor sells to the same market as Bison?

Guess we will have to see what pricing and actual specs for the US are, but I hope you can get it without it being all loaded up with leather and such...

Still gonna be a pricey little truck. Of course, what isn't expensive these days. Just like the TLX TypeS, I'll have to wait for it on the used market.

Haven't seen US pricing but it looks like the AU Ranger Raptor comes in at about the equivalent of 63,000 US, the Bronco Raptor and Regular Raptor are each high 60's base.

The Bronco comes with Vinyl standard. Not sure about the Ranger Raptor and i don't think you can get Vinyl/Cloth on the f150 Raptor anymore.

little rich... Hopefully an XLT Tremor will come in commiserate with the present ranger.

2023 Raptor R will have a 700 HP V-8

Isn't the payload on an F150 Raptor already really low like 800 lbs-ish? Would be curious where this fits in. I would love to have one of these after it's depreciated a bit but would ideally like to be able to fit a light camper on it. Even my old 2008 Ranger can carry 1350 lbs.

Well, the us models are announced.

Build and price not up yet.

Seems like the Raptor is leather only. I was hoping for Active X on the Raptor or Lariat.

XLT (and Lariat) is available with 2.7 (late availability)

No Tremor (yet) and no standard or super cabs.

Long McArther breaks it all down mostly.

Build and price is up.

A loaded XLT high is 46 (XLT high, FX4, tech+advanced trailer tow, spray in liner and bed steps. You cannot build it with a 2.7 yet but that's another 1250 or so based on the Bronco price.

Rapid red sets you back another 495 or Azure Grey 995.

Regular old red is not a choice.

This is like 14 grand cheaper than a similarly equipped F150 Mid.

From what I read the Ranger Raptor starts at $10k more than the ZR2. You do get more power from the Ranger. Mid-size is ultra competitive right now with the 3 new models being introduced at nearly the same time.

its more like 8 and that shrinks if you add leather to the ZR2 which is standard on the raptor. there are very few options of the Raptor, beadlock wheels, decals and accessories... the us spec engine puts out like 400 HP...

The 2.7 should be very close to the ZR2 if it makes similar numbers to the Bronco.

Be interesting to see what AEV does withe Bison, and what the Ranger Tremor looks like when they get around to it.

I'd be really intrigued by a 2.7, fairly stripped-down model, but that's just wishful thinking. As well as my 2.3 tows the travel trailer, the 2.7 would be a blast. Sadly, I'm a 'new car every decade' person so I'm not likely to make that jump.
