2023 Acura RDX, Acura 0w20 with LM Ceratec. 6,515 miles on oil.

I was waiting until 3rd oil change to start tracking. These results are from the 2nd oil change started adding LM Ceratec. Seems I have to change the air filters in my SUV. Fotgot to add/pay extra for TAN TBN, next time.

Yeah, Si is high as flagged. Does that have anything to do with the LM Ceratec? Good thing is the contamination appears, otherwise, very low so my suspicion is it's not abrasive Si & more of new engine break-in material still getting flushed out.

A turbo engine wouldn't be getting a 20 grade in this thickie driveway. I've been using 0/5w-40 instead of 0w-20 in my 2021 for years and I'm still under warranty.

I'd skip the ceratec and bump to a 30/40 grade SP rated euro oil. M1 esp 0w-30 would be nice for it.

Yes, agreed with using 30 grade since I live in the desert, and using 20 for that I get it free at the dealership for the first two years since buying it. Which allows to let the engine break-in be flushed during this period. I have a stash of German Castrol that I will be using in 5k miles. And add LM Ceratec again at 35k mileage.

Does the oil in your RDX stay dark or is it pretty clean after a change?

If I remember correctly, my wife's was really clean when she got it new.
The dealer did the first change yesterday and the oil is really dark.
So dark I doubt it was done.
