2022 Tundra Frame Walk Around

Mighty complex, that's for sure. This stuff ain't cheap either.

I'm not at all sure that I see the value in such a setup.

We spend the summer towing a 7500 lb trailer around the rockies with the F150 in my sig. This truck would be in contention when its time to replace the Ford (not for a while, but that mitigates teething pains it the toyota). The snout needs work though.

I wonder if these will soon be history. I think even in the good times they were overpriced...
They do have tow hooks 😁

Just read a write up on these. With the new model year price increases (and no added equipment or improvements) the prices on these trucks are all more than the big three. They sell about 30,000 or so units a year. IMHO-The Titan is on death watch.

It will last longer than you.
I said here numerous times, once things get complicated Toyota is really not good at it. I would not worry about frames as much as engine and access to it. This debacle with wastegate is indicative of a lot of stuff. These things should never happen 300-500 miles into exploitation. Even at 50,000 miles it is an issue. Which tells that they really didn’t do due diligence. I just don’t understand how it is possible for so many failures after they started sale, and that this wasn’t picked up during testing? And location of such part is going to seriously bump used prices of 5.7 V8.

It sounds like they have a handle on it but supply chain issues for parts are holding up replacements.

The internet is a megaphone for stuff like this.

Internet does megaphone. But supply chain is irrelevant what I am talking about:
1. Position of wastegate is horrible.
2. You have to take down body for not so big of an issue.
3. How that passed testing if they have failures at 300-500mls?

Number 2 is the one I want to know more about.

Although it does look nicer...

Sadly, that is location dependent and unless the person in question has a short life expectancy, no so for vehicle owners in the North East.
Exactly. So much complexity to just get bombarded by road salt.
