5th and last interval with VW OEM 0w20 from the dealer. Pretty typical considering the previous reports. We will see how the HPL does next! I don't know why they changed the sump size but it doesn't really matter.

I use the 508 oil in my Passat but always change it at 5000. At that point, the oil is honey colored and I get no odor of gasoline in it. However, I have not done an oil analysis. I do note that the Passat uses no oil between changes,

Do you have a lot of short trips/starts & stops?
Wife primarily drives it but I would say the short trips only applies to school mornings she is working from home. It is about 18 miles round trip in the city otherwise she right on the highway for a good 50 miles roundtrip. She doesn't disable the start/stop but the oil gets to 200F pretty quick.

Neither does ours, oil is dark and like water but that was to be expected, I guess. Didn't smell like gasoline surprisingly.

Other manufacturers could learn a lesson on how to manage fuel dilution like this engine does. I'm looking at you Subaru. Nice UOA OP.
