I'm not either, but I did have some folks on here tell me awhile back that some cars have them built into the engine, so don't "require" one. But I was also told that if the one in the engine gets stuck or sludged up, then it's pretty critically that the filter should have one as a backup.Not an automotive engineer, but I can’t see how an ADBV would be detrimental to this engine with its bottom mounted filter that is comically small. Also don’t see the harm in not having one. Perhaps someone more technical minded can chime in?
