Last week at the auction I was the high bidder on this 100,000 mile 2.0L AWD S model at $5,500. Seller countered at $6,200. It was being sold as is, so I figured I better check it out some more. It's very clean inside and out, but when I took it for a drive around the parking lot, it had a noticeable driveline noise. Kinda felt like it might be binding up as well. I declined, and notice it's back for tomorrow. Could this be a problem with the transfer case? Low mileage used ones are under $100 so that wouldn't be a big expense. Anything else that may cause it? Like how they look and I'm still tempted at the right price.

I don't know much about these mechanically, but that would be an excellent price here. US$5200 would be about C$7000. New MSRP here was around C$28,000.

That's a nice looking vehicle, but the price seems suspiciously low. Interested to know what the issue is as well.

These Fords have a wet belt and those belts fail frequently. More frequently than you would think. Proceed with caution.

Edit: I thought I read 1.0 ecosport hence my comment doesn't apply to this vehicle
