This is the final update to my oil test, you can look through my older posts here(https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/t...i-oci-kirkland-0w20-blackstone-and-oa.378069/), I have concluded that running 0w-20 in Kirkland(first 3 tests) or Pennzoil (most recent test) has no significant difference, the viscosity difference at 5000mi does not change my wear patterns significantly. I will continue the 5k change trend from now on without any more oil sample testing. Good luck have fun

You were thinking that a brand difference would show up as a discernible and determined wear difference on a UOA?

That Pennzoil has very little calcium and magnesium compared to the competition. I do not think they chose that in order to make a better oil. I would avoid that oil even if there is enough TBN, simply due to me not liking to reward a half-hearted effort put into the product.

You have a lot of fuel dilution. Those engines are prone to that.

I’d be curious to see how either oil performs using the Honda OLM. But the 5k OCI seems to be working well for you, regardless of the fuel dilution. Thanks for the interesting post.

Any interest on trying Kirkland HM 0w20 or just switching to 5w-30 in general? Good wear metals but viscosity is quite low across all reports.
