2019 Silverado 5.3 Oil Consumption

2019 Silverado 5.3 here. Many other 5.3's over the years. Certainly nothing wrong with the oil you've been using as RGT is a fine oil, but as said a change to another brand might solve a usage issue. Wife had a car a few years back that liked to snack on M1 AFE 0W-20. Not big consumption, but it was a new car like your truck. Changed to Valvoline/NAPA synthetic and the usage stopped. I've also had really good luck with Valvoline oils in GM engines. I saw it was on your short list for a new oil, and I heartily agree with it as a super choice. Let us know what you do and if it makes any notable difference.

Thanks for the reply @sopususer. I’ve never tried Valvoline oils but it’s on my short list. I’m thinking of using the Valvoline Advanced Synthetic or Modern Engine.
