2018 Journey 2.4L Throttle Body

Im having bucking and shuddering with partial throttle mainly at cruising speeds
The car has new plugs and coils so i removed the throttle body to clean it
It wasn't very dirty but i cleaned it really good installed a new gasket and reinstalled it on the vehicle
The car is idling between 700 and 715 with pretty steady rpms but idle feels a little rough like the vibration of it
Car is getting over 30mpg on flat roads but still has the bucking that is throttle related
The only weird thing was when i had the throttle body off of the car i could hear something sliding around and rattling inside of it.
I read somewhere that some electronic throttle bodies can have a check valve inside them?
Is there anything inside the throttle body that should be loose moving around or that would cause a rattling noise inside of it or is something most likely damaged internally and Ill need a replacement throttle body?
 
no still chasing down the same issue but have changed plugs and cleaned throttle body and thats when i noticed the weird rattling inside of the throttle body when i took it off of the car
Well your other thread has a poster mention fine teeth missing on these TBs, so maybe. That said, I have no idea how large those teeth might be and if they could cause your rattling noise if they came off
 
i ordered me a ancel bi directional scanner so hopefully i can get in there and get some more data to see whats going on make sure its not fuel injectors or something else going on It holds idle fairly decent between 700 and 750 but feels a little rough and only symptom is that bad bucking stuttering but no engine light on hopefully i can do a power balance test and check for misfires to rule all of that stuff out i just recently installed new ngk platinum plugs and mopar coil packs but i know even new parts can be defective nowadays so gotta cover all the bases
got a new hitachi throttle body on the way too just in case i need it can always send it back if thats not whats acting up

In that case check misfire counts (NOT misfire codes) and any pending codes
 
My wife’s 2016 Patriot 2.4 gets a new TB tommorow - same symptoms, same attempt at cleaning it to fix, no dice!
got my tb changed out the other day went with a hitachi for the replacement one felt better at first but now its still happening again but only when cruising around 50 to 60 during overdrive and lockup i guess its just the lockup slipping in and out seems excessively jerky to me but rpms do not budge at all and transmission shifts smooth through all the gears only does the jerky stutter when accelerating at cruising speed so im at a loss and wondering if its just the design flaw of a 4 speed transmission having to pull a heavy suv body love the car but transmission is def the weak point on them im still getting 30 mpg on flat roads so at this point ill just drive it gently like always and keep watching for any other issues

i got a ancel DS300 bi directional scanner but haven't been able to access my fca auto auth yet to access the computer in the car and check all the data really good hopefully in next day or two ill unlock the gateway and be able to check all that out to confirm no issues there
