I watched the level of the crankcase oil rise over time from when I first bought the vehicle in April to well over the full mark(1.5 cm above the full). At 5300 miles I changed the oil and sent a sample to Blackstone Labs for analysis. The analysis report showed fuel in the oil at 8.8%, flashpoint 200 degrees F.
I took the car to the dealer today and they have "never heard of such a problem" and they think I overfilled the crankcase when I changed the oil. The dealer ignored the oil analysis report.
We agreed on a plan of action. They drained the oil to 4 lines below the full mark and I will return to the dealer in another 1000 miles or so to have them check it.
To be fair to the dealer, they can't do a repair or even start testing parts without authorization from the district office. Everybody has to answer to somebody.
On the Ioniq forum another member with the same problem had a faulty injector replaced and that solved the problem. I'm thinking that's my car's problem too.
