Here's the latest form my 2017 Corvette Grand Sport's transmission (Tremec TR-6070). GM recommends changing every 15 hours of track use so that's what I did. I might shorten that a bit next time since it's really thinning out, or maybe move to a more stout fluid.

Blackstone said they think things look fine and I largely agree.

I wonder if using the Friction modified mtf version would help any? Not that the results are bad by any means. But maybe lower some of the wear metals a bit.

The only way to definitively assess the condition of the fluid is to do a New OIL (VOA) of the current fluid and THEN compare that to the UOA.

For example, how do we know it sheared or how much it may have sheared without a VOA since formulations change.

What was the part number of the ACDelco fluid?

It's GM 88861800, which is made by Petro-Canada:

This is a 7.5 cSt@100C viscosity fluid which is definately NOT a 75W90 fluid, but falls within the 75W75 to 75W80 range.

This is essentially a "boosted" ATF with a bit of extra multi-functional AW agent.

Here is a list of fluids of other that fall within this viscosity range:

NOTE: This list is only a "suggested" list of MTFs. It is not an endorsement of any one fluid, nor is it implied that any one fluid will cure problems in MTs that have design problems or those that have excessive wear.
