Been searching the web for too long and can't get a straightforward answer: did Ram maintain a fuel rail test valve for the 2016 MY on the 5.7?

It appears 2011 and 2012 likely did, but sometimes these things are deleted as running changes to save $

Also, I can find that there is a fuel pressure sensor, so can I ALSO view this as a PID?

Probably not. Sometimes it can be easily added on by removing a fuel related banjo bolt and replacing said bolt with one that has a Schrader valve. I've done it on a Toyota, and when I was searching for the parts, I found numerous ones for Dodge applications.

Pretty sure the answer is 'No'

Here is the actual part along with the Chrysler lookup

There is a fuel pressure PID & sensor, Had to adapt a fuel pressure gauge to late Rams more than once to prove out faulty pressure sensors.
Yeah apparently the sensors are not incredibly reliable. Plenty of talk of P0018C/D

Do you recall how you were adapting?

The easiest way to adapt a fuel pressure test gauge to that rail setup is to tie into the quick disconnect port. You will need the proper size (e.g., 1/4", 5/16" or 3/8") T-adapter like the ones provided in the kit below.
