Let me start off by saying I almost cracked a rib trying to loosen the front differential fill plug, but the good Lord intervened and I still have my ribs intact.

The front diff fluid was nowhere near as dark as the rear fluid. What gives?

Moving forward, I'm tempted to change the front once for every two rear changes. Does that sound reasonable?

By the way, the car has 62K miles.

Thanks.

I changed the front and rear diff fluids in both of my Subies with Motul Gear 300 and don't plan on ever doing it again.

JK, I'll get the itch in 4-5 years, if I haven't moved on.

Yes, it was the first on this car. That fill bolt was a [censored] to loosen.
