Hey guys, lots happening the last few months (purchased our first home, ST got in an accident, etc, etc) but being BITOG I thought I'd start here.
We picked up a new 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan. I have a friend who works at a local dealership and I asked him about some of the incentives Dodge had posted online... They all seemed too good to be true, and I doubted many (if any) would stack. He said if you grab a 2015 model the incentives will all stick, so we made the trip.
Having two 6 year olds and being right in the process of moving, the timing was right. That combined with the fact that you just can't deny the effectiveness of a mini van when you have kids.
There was one 2015 left on the lot. One. It wasn't the color we wanted at all, but the trim fit the bill. It's one notch above the base model, which seems to just add Bluetooth and a little dress up with the interior.
Dodge changed their power train warranty in 2016, so the 5yr/100k warranty still sticks with this model.
Dodge is offering 0% apr for 75 months on the 2015 models. Seems like a long loan term but the 0% was only available when you did 75 months.
We took the van home for $17,400 before taxes and tags.
Drives fine for a mini van, and I have always liked the Pentastar engines. Don't know too much about the transmissions in these things.
At the end of the day it was hard to pass up and we will definitely get our use out of it.
