In last Duramax I used Delo 400 and CarQuest (WIX). This was in 01-09.

Bought a new 2015 Duramx and was wondering what now is the filter of choice?

thanks!

If there is...It is most likely out of date.

I would not worry to much, My Duramax has 308,XXX miles & runs like new.

Thanks to "Dnewton3" I am running my OCI's a lot longer....The engine just returned a great UOA with 15,000 on Mobil Delvac 1300/M1-303. I have ran Mobil 1300 since new at 7,500 OCI's before I joined this site.

Just switched to Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck/Baldwin B1441.

What sort of OCIs are you considering? I assume its under warranty so the recommended OCI will have to be followed. That said, the AC Delco should be more than enough.

Is there a WIX filter for your current application? If so, Id consider that too.

All the above filters are great considerations, but I feel Mobil 1 filters are a bit overrated. They are very good filters (and one of my favorites actually) but they are very expensive at normal prices for what you get.

I say get whatever is cheapest and easiest to find. Sounds like you have a cool truck btw.

2) congrats on the new truck

3) the "new" Dmax is not substantially any different than any of the previous generations except for external EPA equipment. Therefore it does not matter in the slightest what filter brand and type you use, as long as it's approved for the application. The Dmax really does not care one little bit as long as you use a CJ-4 approved lube and a decent filter of a recognizable brand name or good house brand.
