My friend seems to be having a coil problem with his 2015 Regal (2.0 turbo).
I'm going to check the car out for him today.
Any issues with aftermarket coils on these cars, if I have to change one out?

Front strut coils or rear spring coils?
Oh, I assumed they were talking about ignition coils? idk.

I will say you can often find OE parts from your local dealer at a reasonable price if you order through their website. At least the local dealer here offers that. Go to the counter you'll pay like double what it says on their website. So just order stuff for pick up and buy it on the site haha.

Thanks for the replies.
Yes, ignition coils. We were able to order an OEM Delco coil from Napa.

If it was me, Delco thought it might be Chinesium or Korean(Mando/Yura/Hanshin). Then OE supplier(Denso/Bosch/Hitachi/Mando). And if it’s between white box Chinesium(or Standard/Wells/Delphi) or FLAPS branded, I’d go FLAPS. You’ll need that warranty.

Related questions: does anyone know whether the ECM shuts down the injector when a misfire is detected?

My friend will need to drive about 15 miles to my house so that we can change the coil. If raw fuel is still dumping into the affected cylinder, would we need to worry about the cat being affected?

Typically the ECM will shut down an injector if it believes the injector is not working properly. This is to prevent gas getting into the cylinder.

I thought so; but I wasn't sure if this engine (2015 Buick 2.0 turbo LTG) did so.
