2014 ecodiesel oil new spec?

HI. I've been reading up on oil requirements and recommendations for these engines but have not seen anything specific to my needs so, if I missed it, I apologize but, here goes.

I have a '14 with about 160k miles and the CP4 pump went out. There was the recall on them and that part was taken care of under that recall, no issues there. The problem (if you can call this a problem) comes in when you consider that the dealership damaged the heads so badly during the fuel system work that Stellantis told them to just replace the whole engine (and new turbo too). So, on the plus side, I got a factory remanufactured 3.0 and brand new turbo out of this fiasco. That's a BIG plus but now, I have a question about what oils I should/could use.

I had been using Rotella T6, as previously recommended, and the original engine was perfect and running beautifully. Now, with the reman, would that remain the same or is the reman going to fall under newer factory recommendations? The dealer does not know.

Also, are those recommendations based on the DPF needs or engine longevity? I ask because, even though I just recently got my truck back (the dealership had it for 10.5 months working everything out), now, it popped up the "exhaust 90% full....." but then, the regen never happened and it QUICKLY went to 100% full and went into limp mode. Codes show the B1P1 EGT sensor went bad and didnt allow the regen. Dealership tells me that, if we can't force a regen after swapping the $300+ EGT sensor, then the DPF will need changed. Cost then? $4,000+ so, my next step, if the forced regen does not work, is a complete delete. Exhaust and EGR block/delete. So, how will THAT affect my oil requirement?

I have had great experience with Royal Purple in a couple other (gas) vehicles so I was looking at their Duralec 83540 5w40, which is CJ4/CK4 compliant for the DPF although it shows an additive package with zinc/ZDDP and does not specifically say that it is OK for use in the Eco. So, considering I will be doing the delete, but may not need to right away if the forced regen works, I guess I need to know oil specs both pre and post delete.

BTW, I will be installing the EGT and trying to force the stationary regen myself using the AlfaOBD and the MX+ interface to do it as I am not comfortable with my dealer garage's answers (or prices).

And beside the oil recommendations, can anyone also recommend a good quality delete kit? I was looking at Banks but, so far as I know, they don't offer one for the Ecodiesel.

Sorry for the short novel but wanted to get as much info as possible so no one had to ask. I'm sure I've still probably missed some anyway.

Thank you.

t6 isn't great. I don't like how it foamed in rdy4war's test.

I'd rather use Delvac esp 5w-40 but there's nothing wrong with using other fantastic 15w-40's like delo xsp, valvoline HD, and delvac extreme if ambient temps permit. How much oil does the reman burn if any? As for the delete look for a local ram shop or general diesel shop and see what they use.

Chrysler were more concerned with engine wear/failures when they switched the recommendation from 5w-30 ACEA C3 to API CJ-4 5w-40 ,not so much with the aftertreatment equipment longevity.Looks like they hastily wanted to recommend something easier to find...and stayed with it.

Keep on using synthetic API CK-4(and the upcoming CL-4) oils in 5w-40 having a formal OEM approval (like CES 20086 ...or Volvo/Mack VDS/EOS 4.5 ...or Detroit 93K218)
If oil consumption is higher than normal, then look for ACEA C3 oils in xw-40 (with a robust OEM approval like MB 229.52) until you get rid of the "issue" .
In both cases you will have a -40 grade with good ht/hs values-what Stellantis was after in 2016.

In Europe, where HDEO's in 5w-40 are very rare folks use stout -40 grade ACEA C3 ...or reasonably SAPS-ed ACEA A3/B4 in their VM 3.0.

Most major blenders/marketers however in their recommendations are trying to be in line with what Chrysler "wants" -here some examples :

Shell Euro market

https://oilguide.ravenol.de/?lang=en&selectedType=92914b109bb36aeb
...etc.
Others(Mobil,Valvoline-Europe) do not dare recommend a product at all for Chrysler models (although they have suitable ones).

Valvoline-US recommended Premium Blue Extreme 5w-40.

Also :
etc.

I'd run several UOAs with Gas Chromatography fuel dilution test to check on this and that...

For comparison,
Maserati uses/recommends ACEA A3/B4 oil, Shell Helix Ultra 5w-40 for their models with VM 3.0 :

Perfect candidate for GDE Afterlife tuning. On the ecodiesel forums from people who have delved far deeper than I, and know what they are looking at...the GDE tuning can't be beat. There was some kerfuffle with this last crackdown that had some folks questioning what they (GDE) was doing, but that has been rectified. Otherwise you need to look to Canada. But the tunes you'll find will not be as good/refined.
Afterlife tuning can only be used on vehicles beyond their statutory useful life period. This time period is declared by the Original Equipment Manufacturer as part of their New Vehicle Certification activity with CARB/EPA. Tier 2 vehicles are typically 10 years/120000 miles while Tier 3 vehicles are typically 15 years/150000 miles.

These tunes are designed for vehicles where it is not feasible (either economically or for parts availability) to replace certain aspects of the emissions hardware. They do not meet federal tail-pipe emission requirements, and will not pass state emissions inspection (i.e. OBD readiness and Mode $06 monitor test results).

If you live in an area so regulated, the vehicle should be repaired and run our emissions compliant software package.

Where do you live/what is your climate like?

I think the safe suggestion is obviously going to be pretty much any HDEO 5w40. I'm kind of partial to Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w40, but I'll be switching everything over to Guardol XT as it meets the specs of every single thing I got around here.

I used to have a 2015 ecodiesel. If I were you I’d change the fuel filter at every oil change. I was left dead on the side of the road with what I thought was a failed cp4. The OEM fuel filter which I had the dealer replace just two months prior self disintegrated, taking out my entire fuel system. Everything from tank to injectors was replaced under warranty after sitting at the dealership for six months, last I heard the dealer was still arguing with stellantis to be reimbursed for the rental. I dumped the truck as soon as I got it back for an L5p. Oil is unfortunately only one of many concerns with that disaster of an engine.
