Hey guys. I've got a 2014 dodge dart gt that should be needing tires in the next 6 months. The tire size it 225/40 r18. Tire rack suggests some high performance tires and not any regular all seasons. I don't want the high performance tires because I'm more concerned about fuel mileage, longevity, and traction in all seaons. What would you guys suggest.

Unfortunately with that size tire you have very limited choices. The Pirelli P7 would be a good choice.

Another option would be to get a set of 16" wheels and 205/55-16 tires, you'd then have a huge selection of tires to choose from.

reall? cuz i went there, put in your car's info, and the first 5 or so listed are grand touring all seasons...

it actually shows 44 options for all-season passenger tires
Ultra High Performance All Season (23)
High Performance All Season(3)
Grand Touring All Season (14)
Standard Touring All Season (2)
Passenger All Season (2)

I didn't spend much time on there. So what type of tire would you recomend. I'm not going to race the car or anything like that. And yea it's a funny tire size but I'm sure there's a good long lasting a/s out there

Ok after some more time on tire rack I think I want the kumho ECSTA LX PLATINUM tires. They have great reviews and a very good price. If never used kumho tires and I'm wondering if they really are a good tire

This is my bet as well. I loved my set I had.

But I think if I were to be buying for a Dart I would want something a little more conservative with "economy" in mind. I'm not exactly sure how much the LRR tires really do help but I think I would want a set of LRR if I had a Dart and used it as a little commuter.

I haven't really read much on it but something like this(This is also a great price FYI)

They are being discontinued and will be replaced with the Solus TA71, which comes out next month. Therefore, my suggestion is the Solus TA71.

The Sumitomo HTR Enhance is also worth a look.

well not very often. I've seen a foot of snow once but it might snow every 2-3 years. But with my work i Have to travel a lot up north and I believe a a/s would suit my needs the best. The car isn't a daily driver, I use it mainly just to travle for work. S

Another suggestion would be the Dunlop Signature HP. I've always had good luck with Dunlop, and I had the SP Sport Signature on an older car I had (the SP Sport Signature is the predecessor of the new Signature HP).

Of course, you could always seek out the smaller wheels offered on the base model Dart that will offer more tires that are slanted towards the long-life and efficient type.
