The 3.6 has had timing chain issues, I was just wondering if by the model 2014 the issues were resolved. Any other issues with the 2014 traverse?
Not really. Have done many timing chains on 3.6s newer than thatThe timing chain issues on the 3.6 were resolved before the start of the 2010's.
I think a closer cut off date is 2012 as I have done timing chains on them from 08 thru 11The timing chain issues on the 3.6 were resolved before the start of the 2010's.

Totally preventable by a quality synthetic of adequate viscosity and 5000 mile oci’sImpressive while 2 Co-workers of minds need timing chains on there 3.5ecoboost motors they both have around 150K.
I kept it topped off (it would lose 1 qt between changes starting around 80K) and changed the oil around 15-20% on the OLM. It wasn’t the most reliable vehicle ever but it good enough.Totally preventable by a quality synthetic of adequate viscosity and 5000 mile oci’s
my experience is the OLM doesn't normally reach 5k for us (we have this 2011)Totally preventable by a quality synthetic of adequate viscosity and 5000 mile oci’s
