Thanks Bladecutter. Nice response and I will try to find one so she can atleast test drive it and give it a thumbs up or down herself. She thought the Chevy Sonic looked cool from driving past a dealership, but never spoke of it again. I guess it's time to find a Fiat in need of a test drive.

Good for her.
They are neat looking things.

Does anyone here have one or ever rent/ride in one?
I hear they are pretty good cars except for being slow getting going.
My fiancee bought a 2012 Sport back on September 3rd 2011, and then traded that one in on a 2012 Abarth on June 13th 2012. She still owns it today, and loves it. The only reason why she traded the Sport in was because she wanted the Abarth that bad after the test drive.
As for slow, they are faster than some, and slower than others.
How often does she find herself at the drag strip?

Personally I have ZERO interest them. The Fiat brand is totally unknown to me.
I am a GM car/truck owner with a beater '91 Camry too.
Well, it's a good thing you're not looking at one for yourself, now, isn't it?

Her current '05 Chrysler 300 has become a rattle trap with 21mpg average.
I give it credit for being reliable so far but were on the verge of dumping some money into it in a year or so, so the Fiat sparked interest in her.
My fiancee traded in a 2008 Chrysler Crossfire that had so many problems under warranty (over $20k worth of warranty work), that she didn't want to risk paying for any more repairs when the warranty expired, so I can understand wanting to get rid of an older car that has seen better days.

I think the Cruze or new Focus would be a better choice myself.
Thanks for any ideas.
Let your wife test drive the car, and come to her own conclusion.
Also, if you want bigger, they now have the Fiat 500L, which is the size of a small crossover SUV, and comes with the turbocharged engine, which has 160 hp and 184 ft-lbs.
They look pretty neat, and drive quite nice. I had the pleasure a couple of weeks ago.
