With all the pvc problems with this engine what are the downsides. Im in a area here there is no emission testing.

FC219 oil cap is the go to for preventing frozen PCV issues.
Keep an eye on your oil level. Check it more than you think you should, because those motors consume oil. I switched to 10/40 wt oil to slow the consumption down. It worked, we were using a qt of oil every 750 miles. No smoke or leaks to be found, and uses alot less oil.,,,
Oil consumption isn't bad 1200 miles qt. But stating to find oil in the flex pipe between the mass flow and air box in the corrigations.
Your not running a K&N air filter that need to be oiled, are you ?.,,,
