Changed out the factory fill coolant on the Dodge 5.7 Charger today. Put in Peak American Vehicle OAT purple for Dodge Chrysler vehicles in concentrate cut with distilled water.

2013 is one of the years of controversy where Dodge used both HOAT and OAT orange and pink coolant. The old coolant looked orange in the reservoir however was pink when I dipped a paper towel into it.

So many horror stories of coolant gelling up I hope I didn't screw it up. The owners manual in the glove box says "use OAT coolant".

Fingers crossed.

You are correct about the Mopar/Chrysler AF change from a HOAT to a no 2eha OAT for 2013. Mopar/Chrysler did it they said, for a longer service interval. Reading the product description (below) on the Old World/Peak site, with OM saying use OAT AF, I believe you purchased exactly the correct AF for your Charger. The fact that you were able to find it a concentrate, all the better.

"PEAK® ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT TECHNOLOGY™ ANTIFREEZE + COOLANT for NORTH AMERICAN VEHICLES - PURPLE meets the Organic Acid Technology (OAT) formula requirements of North American OEMs that require 2-EHA Free Antifreeze + Coolant formulations. Meets or exceeds the performance requirements of ASTM D3306 and ASTM D4985. Provides ultimate protection against rust and corrosion for all cooling system metals. PEAK® guarantees up to 15 year/350,000 mile* protection with a complete cooling system flush and fill."

Autozone has them in concentrate but they keep them 'in the back'. You have to ask for it in person.

As of now I have not. None of the hoses felt soft or swollen. The outlet hose has a spring inside of it which is still keeping it in shape. The thermostat works and nothing leaks.

Now that you mentioned it in the next few weeks there will probably be a leak.
