As title states multiple codes PO300 PO301, P117a as well as many air bag and CVT. CVT is known vibration issue that should be recalled but I suspect with air bag codes they will decline. I begged her not to buy 2 years ago but now upside down. All I did was run codes and check engine light was flashing but I did get freeze frame. Looks like running rich with misfire on cyl 1 so tomorrow I will check injector first then go to coil. 130k 2.5. Anything that I should be aware of that I am missing? Autozone ran codes before me which they gave customer print out with recommendation of fuel pump being the cause and of course it is full of gas.

P117A can mean Lean or Rich, O2/AF Sensors can't read raw fuel so a dead misfire will show up as a Lean condition.

If you're relying on Autozone to read codes....I'm guessing you don't have much diagnostic equipment.

Check the Boot between the Throttle Body & MAF.....Nissans are known for split boots.

Pull the spark plugs & check their condition, Mainly for signs of carbon tracking. If you find a plug with carbon tracking.....Replace the Plug & Coil.

Thanks. I have Bluetooth scanner that reads live data. I don't trust Autozone and this was customer that got them to read. There reading on one code showed oil overheat which isn't a Nissan code. My scanner checked 69 areas for codes and that is how I got abs as well as airbag codes. Autozone only showed engine. I do have freeze frame and it showed rich on bank one.

Found coil wire came apart on cyl.1. Swapped coils between 2 cylinder no misfire. Tube full of oil on cyl. Will do one more drive cycle. Sister has no money for repairs so I will see how long before misfire return as it passed misfire test. Denso iridium pug looked OK as well so they have been changed once already.

Was that wire chewed or someone was in there before? Coils failing isn't uncommon for this vintage Nissan.

Glad you got it either way!

Too bad a lot of Nissans suffer the can't afford to maintain or fix it fate.
