2012 Honda CR-V Rear Differential

So I went to do the oil change on my mothers 2012 CR-V and seen that it had the Rear Diff code up on the MM system as well.

I only had 1 quart of the Honda Dual Pump II fluid, left from my previous owned CR-V, so I didn't do the change. I didn't get a chance to slide under the back either to take a look either.

But my question is, is the Rear Diff change the same as my 2009 was? Same fluid and same thing with fill and drain plugs? Also are the crush washers the same?

I tried looking on a few sites but they don't list anything under the gen 4 CR-V and I can't find any info pertaining to my questions. If anyone can let me know that would be great thanks.

Doesn't the owner's manual list the type and capacity?

The rear diff's are different on a 2009 than a 2012. Although they are different they still use dual pump fluid and use similar ways to drain and fill. 3/8" drain and fill plugs on the side of the diff.
