2012 Honda Accord Motor Oil?

Is this a different issue than your previous thread?
2012 Honda Accord 160K miles
Thinking of going with slightly thicker motor oil, 5w20 maybe, to stop VTC pinging when cranking and quieter engine. Any suggestions?

Run M1 0/40 in mine. Or M1 5/40
Same car, but just checking to see if a different weight of oil might help.
Try some 0W40 and see, then replace the VTC actuator

its the weak spring inside it, causes it not to lock when at low speed. You can just change the spring, plenty of youtube videos on it. I have done it for my crv, it's very simple fix

It's been two or three years , so far so good. No noise at all.
Oil don’t fix broken.
