Next week will replace PCV in 2011 Hyundai Elantra Limited.

Is the PCV connected to a hose of some sort? If so, is the hose know for shriveling, kinking, or failing?

Yes, it is. Hose should not be kinked or collapsed.
I asked because I have experience with 03 Honda CRV EX that has a PCV breather hose that's prone to shriveling/collapsing with age. My 97 Buick Park Ave doesn't have a PCV breather hose.

So I wasn't sure what the situation would likely be with 11 Hyundai Elantra Limited.

Good to know replacing PCV will be quick easy, and existing hose is probably fine, for 2011 Hyundai Elantra. Finally an easy task! 😀👍

My cousin and I have PTSD 😳 from hassles involved with replacing the PCV and its shriveled hose on a 2003 Honda CR-V. That was a 2 hr job (due to access difficulties) plus additional time getting the correct new hose. However, after replacing PCV & hose it no longer consumes oil. So that project was a success in the end. 😀👍

Before that we replaced PCV on my 1997 Buick Park Ave, which was quick and easy. 😀👍
