I don't recall if the initial pictures were hot or cold transmission as that plays a lot into it. This is the TSB for the Pilot. CRV and others may be totally different. For Pilot having at high level (when cold) may add to issues with a known issue transmission. How many ounces that equates to between cold and hot on the transmission I can't help you. I can tell you checking it on the Pilot SUCKS. The EGR pipe is right next to the handle, buried deep in there, definitely need flashlight to see it. Nomex sleeve from HF or other highly recommended. My daughters '08 CRV transmission dipstick check is easy, no hassle.Did you see it was only about 4oz of fluid he ended up draining? That is nothing to worry about, qt/s over sure but not a few ounces.
