So moms lower ball joints are squeaking and poping and 1 out of 4 are loose. (Yes this stupid car has 4 lower ball joints/control arms) got 3 out of 4 out of the knuckle, and the L rearward ball joint is being a pain n the rear. Got 3 loose n 30 mins, the 4th one i have been air hammering for an hour straight. Got some mapp gas ima use tomorrow to get it out hopefully. Also to get the lower rearward arms off u have to drop the rear of the subframe. ( not looking forward to tht ) so moms using the taurus while i fix her car, i dont trust the ppl at her job not to hit the Malibu while shes at work. RANT OVER. LOL

While I do agree that something that pushes or pulls does work way better then a pickle fork, does the OP even state that they are using one?

Be careful to not lose the little bushing inserts that are pressed into the upright where the lower arms go through. They are only serviced with a new upright, we found out the hard way at work.

they were still stuck on the baslljoint when i got them out of the knuckle. I used i Pittman arm puller to get them off the ball joint.
