The big three-bar chrome grill doesn't look right, the rest of the car exterior looks good. More and more cars have more than 5 speed auto-transmissions, it improve both performance, fuel economy and less engine noise at highway speed.

I like the chrome grill...but maybe they will make it body color on a sport model or something. The car overall looks pretty sharp and I am looking forward to seeing how the 2010 Taurus turns out.

The 3 engine choices seem great, but I have heard rumors that the new "Eco Boost" Turbocharged gasoline direct injection engine will make an appearance in the future.

It will be exciting to see a car with that much horsepower, AWD, and in that size.

That's a lot of horsepower, even for the 4-cyl Duratech. I hope it appeases the crowd that wants a car that is thrifty with gas.

Does anyone know the curb weight of this vehicle?

The 4-cylinder makes 175 hp. That's plenty and more than plenty for a car driven mostly in the city. It's a good-looking car. I hope it'll have a nice-looking interior.

The article says Ford is claiming a 10% increase in fuel economy with the 4. That would make it, what, 24 or 25 mpg city, 32 or 33 highway?

Aggressive Deceleration Fuel Shut-off. The 3.0-liter V-6 also regulates its gas consumption by using aggressive deceleration fuel shut-off for an efficiency improvement of approximately 1 percent. When the driver releases the accelerator pedal to slow down, the system temporarily turns off the fuel. The flow of fuel seamlessly resumes when the vehicle reaches a low speed or when the driver accelerates again. The system uses the transmission to keep the engine running at a low, more efficient operating point whenever possible. This system will be added to the 2.5-liter lineup later in the 2010 model year.
I noticed the above in the link provided. I thought all cars did this already or is the key the word 'aggressive'?

I had a 2006 Fusion SEL V6, loved the car, great acceleration, roomy interior. At the time I was on the road more and was only getting just under 25mpg on the highway with the cruise set between 65-70, so i traded it in for the Corolla.

But aside from that I loved the car and would recommend it

Pretty sharp-looking.

I'll still take the Fiesta over this, however.

I think it's just marketing hype. I understand that all modern, electronically-managed, engines do this.

"All three engines will be paired with Ford's 6F35 six-speed automatic transmission."

Booooo. One more step to eradicating the manual transmission in this country.

The Mazda 6 offers the M/T in the 2.5 version.

I have never heard of this.
