Wow. 5300 miles on a high-strung turbo engine with nothing more than bargain dino. Results shouldn't be this good, but......?

150 miles of easy highway driving every day? I'm not surprised in the least.

The WRX isn't really high strung and doesn't run a huge amount of boost when stock (were you thinking of the STI?). Turbos naturally tend to be hot but this one was driven in pretty much the best way to keep it cool.

I dont think Valvoline WB has any Moly or Boron.

I wonder if there is any chance this is one of the store brands like Autozone or Oreilly?

I love the viscosity after 5K miles. Oil held up well.

Yeah....a non-enthusiast driven 2.0 liter WRX might not see much boost at all (they come alive at 3500 rpms). And with 150 miles of highway driving a day, that means this oil basically saw about 6-8 weeks (tops) of easy highway use.
