I hope this dipstick is sealed good, so it doesn't provide a point of entry for contaminants into the differential.

Sealed well with a o ring on it.

and impossible to pull and put back without touching it to some nasty dirty surfaces. I need a 2nd elbow.

I've had mine out many times. It is clear of anything dirty...

Plenty of room around it. You can (I have) put a nice sized funnel to refill the transfer case...
