New to me daily driver. I wonder if the minor fuel dilution is from the constant start/stop. Was a hot drain after a 40 mile commute home.

You'd better establish whether the timing belt was done or not and when in short order.

The manual for my 06 was 100K or ten years.

This is an interference engine and a popped belt would most likely result in a catastrophic failure requiring a new engine.

If you cant find a receipt or have proof it was done - it most likely wasnt, and it's an expensive time consuming job.

The job typically consists of the belt, new tensioners and rollers, and a new water pump. A dealer will charge you about 1500.00 for this.

Great post. If OP can't find it was done...I'd not take the chance and I'd have it done.

As a matter of fact, I downloaded all the service data from My-Lexus and they were done at 68099 miles. Nice having most of the maintenance records.

How many years ago was that?

Bit of good news there, and it seem you went from knowing nothing about the car to getting great info.

It was done in June 2012. I’ll probably throw a kit at it this summer when I’m driving my other car.
The hybrid battery is the real unknown for me. Never shows fully charged on the display and not sure how I want to proceed there.

I rarely saw the batt full and I owned an 06 400H for a bit over 12 years.
My lexus dealer ( best dealer service guy and place I've ever experienced) told me they usually lasted till 250K.
Aside from oil changes I went to him for everything else including tires. I got a free dashboard replacement when the car was a decade old.

I would run M1/PP 0w-30 or 40 for 10- sometimes 15K - and fram ultras for 20K
Oil was still gold when I tossed it. These are really easy on oil.
Never bothered with a UOA.

I could use that. Wheel finish failing in spots another thing I’m a little disappointed in.

My dealer guy said everyone could get one free dashboard under a " silent warranty", but that it was tricky to get the "code to accept".

I had a chromed wheel package and they were rusted flaking and leaking.

Loved that it had a full sized spare, was bummed when I rotated out the leaky wheel and found the spare wasn't chromed.
